Building Breathing

2015

On May 23 2015 all the doors of the former State Studio of Arno Breker was opened at 8pm and remained open for 30 minutes. Arno Breker was one of the busiest artists of the 'Third Reich' and a prominent example of the national-socialist ‘state artist’. Prior to the opening of the doors the building was completely restored and shortly after the space reopened as Kunsthaus Dahlem a museum for post-war German modernism. Building Breathing was preformed in this in-between state of past present and possible futures.
